The Manfrotto 546B Tripod is rugged, heavy duty, and rigid. It features a professional two-stage design and offers the flexibility to shoot video or other media in a variety of assignment locations. The Manfrotto 546B Tripod is flexible and, when used with the proper head, is able to support studio lighting and a variety of cameras as well as audio or video equipment. The Manfrotto 546B Tripod can be used in varying weather conditions and temperatures from 140 to -22 degrees Fahrenheit. The tripod’s mid-level spreader adds significantly to the stability of video recording, allowing smooth, fluid panning without distortion or annoying jumping off the head. The Manfrotto 546B Tripod features a die-cast aluminum crown and a 75mm bowl. This allows for ease in changing and adjusting a professional video head or the camera. The Manfrotto 546B Tripod is sturdy, can support up to 44 pounds and is compatible with most dollies. The tripod’s telescopic mid-level spreader allows for level shots no matter what the terrain. The spreader also ensures that the tripod will not topple over in windy conditions. The 546B’s legs end in removable rubber overshoes that are removable to reveal a spike on each leg. The rubber feet can be used on smooth floors while the spikes are usable in rugged terrain situations. The legs of the tripod adjust from a minimum of 11.8 inches to a maximum of 60.6 inches, providing the head and camera with multiple viewpoints. Stock leg locks on the Manfrotto 546B Tripod are of the flip-lock style and allow for quick release.
