Product Information
Looking for a way to make your ax really wail? Check out the Line 6 FM4 Filter Modeler. This guitar pedal lets you add 16 wild and wooly digital synths to your sound. Experiment with new frequencies, new tones, and new effects that can help elevate your music up to a whole new level. With the Line 6 FM4, you’ll be able to access four programmable presets simply by tapping your toe. You can input and output sounds either in stereo or in mono. This modeler runs off four alkaline C-cell batteries. If you prefer not to use batteries, you can use a compatible power supply that plugs into a standard electrical outlet. With this guitar add-on, you'll have real-time control of all the sounds you create. Acoustic distortions include Tron Up, Tron Down, and V-Tron; Seeker; Obi-Wah; and Voice Box. Other patches include a parked "wah," throbber, comet trails, and many different types of synths. The expression pedal input function lets you mix, match, and blend your synth effects to create some out-of-this-world-sounds. You’ll find the expression pedal on the back of this device. The Line 6 FM4 effects pedal measures 10 x 6 x 2.4 inches, and it weighs slightly more than 3 pounds. These pedals are a cool purple color that really stands out. The filter modelers are specially engineered to take you to the outer limits of the acoustics produced by electric guitars. You’ll probably find that this gear works best with neck pickups, palm muting, and single note lines. On a white panel inset on the front of the device, you’ll see six dials. The dial on the far left is the model selector that allows you to choose the specific preset accessories that you want to use. The names of each of the preset selections are printed around the dial. The next dial is the frequency dial, which permits you to play the sound you’ve chosen in a range of different frequencies. To the right of that dial is the Q dial, which lets you set the width of your filter. The next knob is the speed dial, which controls how long your acoustic distortion will last. If your acoustic distortion has a sequence of steps that can be programmed, your mode dial allows you to control that function. Finally, the mix dial lets you blend unprocessed signals with processed signals. Below the white panel, you’ll see four stomp switches. You’ll use these to access your pre-programmed acoustic distortions. Input and output jacks can be found on the left side of the back of the unit. There are two sets of input and output jacks so that you can create acoustic distortions either in mono or stereo. The Line 5 FM4 features bypass switching so that notes can go straight from guitars to amps. The left input jack also functions as an on/off switch; if you unplug the cable from this switch, the device won’t power up.Product Identifiers
