Ideal as a self-defense weapon, the Spyderco Matriarch 2 knife comes with a serrated blade that is intimidating by its appearance alone. This Spyderco design has a useful curved tip. This design makes the blade perfect for slashing an assailant. This is possible due to the tip that has a thicker construction compared to the remaining length. The C12SBK2 model is also foldable for storage in a bag or pocket if necessary. Its textured design fits comfortably in your hand. The VG-10 stainless steel blade can lock securely into the handle when not in use. However, it releases quickly for timely, much-needed assistance. This is achieved by the inclusion of the Emerson opening feature. This patented technology allows for a quick opening at all times. For added durability, Spyderco Matriarch knives also incorporate steel liners within the grip. These liners keep the knife as sturdy as possible when in use. The handles on these Spyderco Matriarch knives consist of a tough fiberglass reinforced nylon, or FRN, a material is designed specifically to withstand the elements and last a long time. The serrated blade has a length of 3.57 inches, while the grip itself measures around 5 inches, making for an overall length of just over 8.5 inches.
