The DC Collectibles Power Girl and Huntress two-pack collects the heroines of the New 52 World's Finest comic in one set. These figures are replicas of how they appeared in the DC comic book series. This set features the looks of the characters as they appeared later in the series instead of their debut look. In particular, they are based on the look of artists such as R.B. Silva. The New 52 look is similar to the characters' original costumes from the '90s. Their look lets you use them in a variety of displays and have them blend in seamlessly. Both of these figures measure at almost 7 inches in height. Not only are both action figures scaled to other New 52 toys, but also to other DC Collectibles lines as well. Huntress, also known as Helena Bertinelli, is clad in a black, purple, and white ensemble that allows her to blend into the night. Special attention was paid to the front of her costume, which features both horizontal and vertical lines. Each line is hand-painted to ensure that the lines are drawn with precision. Much of the character's costume, including the belt, boots, and gloves, are sculpted on. The paint used on the Huntress has a metallic sparkle to it, giving her costume an armored appearance. Her cape is a high-quality, soft plastic that doesn't hinder her ability to pose in many positions. Lastly, the head features an incredible amount of detail. In particular, the eyes are painted so that they resemble real eyes. The hair uses a layering effect to appear real. Helena also comes with one accessory: her crossbow. This crossbow is made from a high-quality plastic that is slightly flexible so the toy can easily hold it. You can place the crossbow in either hand. Power Girl, also known as Kara, is dressed in the outfit used in the later half of this comic book. This outfit shows significantly more skin than the earlier version. The skin is painted with a duller tone, so it doesn't appear glossy and instead looks like actual skin. Like Helena, Kara features an outfit with plenty of sculpted bits. Her gloves, belt, and boots are all sculpted pieces. Power Girl's cape is also made from the same high-quality yet soft material as Helena's cape is. Kara and Helena both share the same articulation scheme. Both of these action figures have ball-jointed hips, hinged elbows, rotating shoulders, and a swivel on the forearm. Below the torso you'll find hinged elbows, knees, and ankles along with a thigh swivel. This level of articulation lets you pull off your favorite pose from the comic book with no trouble at all. Both toys are made of a high-quality, sturdy plastic. Even if your new toys take a tumble from your display case, they won't break. Likewise, the paint will not chip or scratch. If you're a fan of DC Comics and the New 52 designs, this two-pack of toys is a must-own for your collection. This set of toys combines beautiful sculpting with high-quality paint to create a jaw-dropping version of these iconic characters.
